Wania Schmitz

Wania was born in Taiwan, grew up in Brazil, and lived many years in Germany before she moved into the Philadelphia area where she now teaches Vinyasa Yoga at the Northern Shaolin Academy.

A couple of years ago doctors discovered a brain tumor. She was in the hospital for several months. After surgery and many months in bed, she developed severe back pain. Looking for relief, she tried many things. Nothing helped until she discovered that Yoga helped her managing her pain and brought back balance to her body and mind.

Wania became a Yoga teacher by taking the 200 hour Vinyasa Teacher Training in the Summer of 2011 at Dhyana Yoga. She is so happy and honored to share the passion she found in Yoga with the Northern Shaolin Academy!
